El passat dia 14 d’octubre un grup de corredors i corredores de Perafort Bike vam marxar, acompanyat de familiars, cap a terres holandeses per prendre part a la Marató d’Amsterdam 2011, que tenia lloc dos dies després, el dia 16.
Amb tot el viatge ja organitzat ens vam plantar a Amsterdam divendres per la tarda; just arribar a l’hotel, una petita sortideta per estirar les cames, dutxa, i a veure la ciutat. Érem un grup nombrós, 15 persones, però ni aquest fet ni les baixes temperatures que ens vam trobar van impedir fruir de la ciutat i els seus encants.
Dissabte al matí vam visitar la fira del corredor per tal de recollir els dorsals per les diferents curses del dia següent: la marató, mitja marató i cursa de 8 quilòmetres. Hi havia representants de l’Associació en les 3. Un cop visitada la fira vam tenir la resta del dia per visitar Amsterdam, els seus canals, museus, etc…
I per fi va arribar el dia que tan esperàvem. Després d’un llarg entrenament arribava el dia D; ens vam llevar ben d’hora, ben d’hora, ben d’hora… Vam esmorzar, i amb una temperatura de 5º ens vam dirigir cap a l’estadi olímpic d’Amsterdam. La sortida estava programada a les 9.30, però a les 8.20 ja arribàvem a l’estadi. Era el moment de vestir-se, escalfar, i començar a córrer. Amb un ambient excepcional, els corredors vam anar entrant a l’estadi, des d’on sortia la marató. I aquí va començar l’aventura de la marató; van anar passant els quilòmetres, sempre acompanyats de corredors i de públic. Al cap d’unes hores els 3 corredors de Perafort Bike vam arribar a la meta a la marató sense cap complicació. Molt contents per haver finalitzat un repte com aquest. Després d’uns estiraments i una dutxa, vam tornar a l’estadi per veure l’arribada dels companys que corrien la Mitja Marató.
Mentre els 3 corríem la marató, dues corredores feien el mateix a la cursa de 8 quilòmetres, amb èxit rotund. Els últims en sortir van ser els corredors de la mitja marató; tots dos, dins l’horari previst, van arribar a meta molt feliços.
El fet de tenir la meta dins l’estadi olímpic li dóna un caire més màgic a la festa en la que has pres part. L’ambient a l’arribada va ser increïble, amb els carrers plens de gent animant, i un estadi amb les grades plenes de gent.
Al dia següent, després de visitar una mica més la ciutat, ja ens vam dirigir a l’aeroport per tornar cap a casa. Dilluns dia 17 l’expedició “Perafort Bike cap a Amsterdam” arribava al seu lloc d’origen sobre les 22 hores de la nit.
Cal destacar el suport que vam rebre de l’Ajuntament de Perfort, l’A.E. Perafortbike i, sobre tot, de Solarca, empresa de la Selva del Camp, que va col.laborar d’una manera molt important. La conclusió final del viatge no pot ser més positiva; ho vam passar molt bé, les curses van sortir com tots esperàvem, el temps ens va acompanyar i l’ambient va ser excel.lent. Sense cap mena de dubte vam tornar planejant la propera sortida per l’any vinent! Us hi esperem!
